Have I mentioned I love podcasts?

I just got home from my morning walk and listened to a fabulous podcast from The Wellness Guys.  I’ve posted about them before and if you haven’t checked them out, click here to start listening!  It’s free and they talk about all different sorts of wellness, interview some fabulous people and have a variety of shows to listen to.

Episode 167 was with Janella Purcell who I just love!  You may know her from the TV show Good Chef/Bad Chef. I got so much out of this podcast – I won’t spoil it for you, listen to it for yourself.

The one thing I absolutely loved was to eat S L O W food – seasonal, local, organic and whole foods…. I LOVE this acronym and think I’ll steal it for myself, thanks Janella!

Easy Chicken Stuffing!

Did you know that there are more than 50 ingredients in home brand breadcrumbs? This totally disgusts me!

Making breadcrumbs is simple…. Blitz up some bread and you have breadcrumbs!! Of course if you can make your own bread then you know what’s in it and again is so much better for you.

I was cooking a roast chicken tonight and decided to make some stuffing. I had some bread rolls in the freezer from the last time I made the basic bread from the Thermomix EDC and just blitzed them on speed 10 for 20 seconds.

To make the stuffing, I chopped up one carrot, one stick of celery, half an onion, 1 garlic clove and some fresh herbs for about 8 seconds on speed 7. I then added some olive oil and cooked on varoma temperature for 3 minutes on speed 1. Once it had cooled, I added the breadcrumbs (about 1 1/2 cups) and 1 egg to the mixture and combined for a few seconds on speed 4.

So simple and really tasty!!

Are you getting enough calcium?

Do you drink milk thinking this is the best way to increase your calcium?

Hopefully you aren’t drinking the crap from the supermarket that is pasteurized and homogenized!! Get your hands on some raw milk if you can.

Try eating these foods for calcium instead. Your body will thank you for it.
