Have I mentioned I love podcasts?

9 Feb

I just got home from my morning walk and listened to a fabulous podcast from The Wellness Guys.  I’ve posted about them before and if you haven’t checked them out, click here to start listening!  It’s free and they talk about all different sorts of wellness, interview some fabulous people and have a variety of shows to listen to.

Episode 167 was with Janella Purcell who I just love!  You may know her from the TV show Good Chef/Bad Chef. I got so much out of this podcast – I won’t spoil it for you, listen to it for yourself.

The one thing I absolutely loved was to eat S L O W food – seasonal, local, organic and whole foods…. I LOVE this acronym and think I’ll steal it for myself, thanks Janella!

If you want to find out more about Janella, check out her website here.

Have a fantastic day 😀

My first post!

4 Jun

Well after many many months of people saying to me that I should start a blog, I have finally started!

It was a bit like everybody telling me I should start selling thermomix.  After months of saying no, I made a snap decision, did my training and a week later I had sold my first machine.

The same as starting my blog….  I read so much on health, food, exercise and wellness and am constantly telling people great sites to visit or books to read that everyone said I should start a blog.  Again, it was something that I thought would be great but didn’t have the time to do.  After driving back from a weekend away, I started making notes on the things I could start blogging about and decided to look into starting a blog.

After spending the entire day in the kitchen cooking and preparing for my week ahead, I sat down to check my emails and the next thing I knew, I was writing this post!

My goal for this blog is to inspire, enlighten and educate people on basic health and wellness which will enable them to lead a healthy lifestyle.

I have a ‘no excuses’ motto and believe that everyone can lead a healthy lifestyle and I hope that by reading this blog, you will be able to make a few changes in your lifestyle which will improve your health.

As I say in my thermomix demonstrations, ‘if I leave this demonstration and people no longer buy cheese already grated from the supermarket, then I have done my job’! (that cheese has an anti caking agent in it which can cause bloating, constipation, diarrhoea and is prohibited in foods for infants).

Until next time, healthy living to everyone!
